Ice and Snow Melting for Roofs, Gutters, and Downspouts |
How IceStop Systems Works |
After melting, ice and snow can refreeze and form ice dams that prevent water from draining. On rooftops, this often leads to standing water, which can cause serious damage. |
The IceStop system, with its self-regulating, low-wattage cable, provides a continuous draining path for melted ice and snow from the roof through the gutter and downspout. Since the IceStop system is self-regulating, it will automatically cut back its power output and save energy when the roof is dry or warm. |
Versatile and Easy to Use |
Can be applied on all gutter and roof materials, including wood, membrane, metal, and asphalt. |
Can be installed at temperatures as low as -40°F and used at 100-120 Vac or 200-277 Vac without design changes or transformers. |
Does not require thermostatic controls. |
Can be quickly and easily repaired if damaged. |
Reliable |
Offers long product life with minimum system maintenance. |
Can be bent, overlapped, spiraled, or closely spaced without overheating. |
Withstands abuse during installation and retains its mechanical properties by resisting sunlight. |
Energy-Saving and Cost-Effective |
Supplies heat only when and where its needed. |
Speeds installation while it reduces errors, delays, and wasted product. |
Can be cut to the proper length at the job site without affecting heat output per foot. |
Self-Regulating |
Self-regulating technology provides unequaled system dependability. |
IceStop heating cables do not overheat, even if overlapped. |
No need for over-limit thermostats. |
No concerns with uneven heating, corrosion, leaking or freezing. |
